The 4 Practice:

This is the practices if you do will bring you mastery of life.

1. Classical Shotokan Karate : Build character and confidence. Can confront any problem. If you do only one thing, this is the practice I want you to do. Karate is probably my surrogate parents i never had psychologically. Karate is always fair and consistent. My psychological story is like Shamo by Izo Hashimoto, read it free on online manga.com. Just learn the gyaku zuki 10,000 times perfectly, it is the soul of karate.
2. Mindfulness : The best stress buster. Edit could be replaced by Tai Chi
3. Oracle : I have played with all the toys. This is the best toy and can earn you money.
4. Poker : Play poker and understand how to deal withpeople. Poker builds courage.

Seed knowledge:

1. To be happy in this world you have to have offer the best service and earns lots of money. This is the first step to happiness. There is no other way. You must be material secure first. It is better you have skill that is hard to acquire like Oracle database and without risk to your body. The market only want the best. To be the best you must deliberate practice a lot to rewire your brain. Read books: The dip by Seth Godin. Deliberate practice. Talent is overated by Geoff Golvin.

2. It is very important to know positive thinking techniques not only for your body but also for your all areas of your life including your moment to moment being. Read self help and philosophies. Read as much as you can. But focus on a discipline to be the best, like Oracle. Don’t get into those spiritual guru stuff or cult, be scientific. Learned Optimism by Martin Seligman. Find your focus zone by by Lucy Jo Palladino.

3. When you have problem, research. Search the internet. Ask questions in internet forums. Google “best oracle book”. Search amazon.com, read the reviews of the book in Amazon.com, if cant get book, the reader reviews will show a lot of information about the book. Find free books on the net, pirated ones :P. Youtube.com has a lot of videos on karate, meditation, tai chi, mindfulness etc. In my facebook, there is a lot of good links and attachments.

4. There is a lot of bad people in this world you have to know how to defend yourself. You cant just be a diligent farmer and expect no body will bother you. You have to know strategy. And you have to be a bit bad guy. Thick face black heart by Chin Nin Chu. The 33 strategies of war by Robert Greene. Any game theory book.

5. All polarities are needed. Don’t reject any polarities. Different polarities are needed in different situation. balance them in right proportion. Whether the polarity is right depends on the situation. You have to have a mixture of opposite polarity like 80% good guy and 20% bad guy. Poker will teach you use different polarity depending on situation, the only method for measurement of truth is the money won, and “be smooth, smooth”. Truth and lies are both needed. Faith and fear. Happiness and depression. Strong and weak. Good and bad. Diligence and laziness. Consiousness and fogginess. Success and failure. Forgiveness and revenge. Nonjudgement and judgement.

6. Accept suffering can counter the offbalancing of depression and anxiety. Depression and anxiety is a evolutionary coping mechanism and has it uses in some situation but not all situation. The key to switch off anxiety and depression is to accept legitimate suffering.

7. Learn how to relax by learning Tai Chi. To relax a muscle your brain must have neuro connection on the muscle. You cannot relax the muscle without being aware on the muscle. Being aware of the muscle make a lot of wiring on the muscle. That is why tai chi need to be slow. It takes years to reach total relaxation. Look at the grand tai chi master video on youtube. By having a large neuro connections mass on relaxation you can use it for other areas. Tai chi is probably the best way to cope with stress. But dont just use Ying alone, you need yang like karate also to move things.

8. The brain is all plasticity. This is the core reason for visualization, mindfulness, Tai Chi, deliberate practice, 10,000 hours to be a master, how to study. Use plasticity. Read the book "Find your focus zone"

9. Sometimes anxiety or depression is a simple avoidance of a major mundane problem. Read find your focus zone.

10. Keep your blood moving. Chi kung, exercise, karate, deep breathing, whatever keep your body blood moving.

11. For every negative, think of 3 positive. Dont suppress any negative or positive. The 3-1 ratio read positivity book or check out the positivity website.

12.When you just start reading a book especially a big book, or tackle a complicated project. Always scan the book first, read it non sequentially back and front, front and back. Read only the part that you feel like needing to read or interest you. Only when you have get the overview picture of the book and feel you can go no more, then only you decide whether to read the book detailly and sequentially. Scanning a complex book prevent jamming when detail reading and memorizing.
Scanning the book is a necessary step. And reading the book detailly and memorizing is also a necessary step becasue without the details you cannot get the job done, there is too many things you are not familiar with. So both are needed, yin and yang.
Dont mix scanning and detail reading together.
It is better you read the end book first because you know where the goal is and know what to look in detail like scanning SQL tuning first before reading SQL book.
You will be facing a lot of sitatuion where the task is big and complex, use the ying and yang.

Read the book reviews in Amazon to get an idea. Use Singapore library search engine to find the book to borrow. Read reviews of the book in the internet by type “book title review”. Look for any pirated book. We may have the book. Check if the books are up in freedrive.com, ask your mom or aunty. I am compiling the reviews and put it up facebook and freedrive and email. 1. Find Your Focus Zone: by Lucy Jo Palladino. This is the best self help book on mindfulness, reframing, motivation, balance boredom and hypertention etc . Syntesis on the technology that works. It filter out a lot of other self help book now become unneeded. Best definition of mindfulness: get out of the drama. Visualization is actually strengthening the performance neuro pathway, neuro connection plasticity, can be use to rescript the past so wont repeat the same mistake again and again. Faith, not fear: The most apt words to descript positive thinking, the other big system beside mindfulness.
2. The dip by Seth Godin. The market usually would require the best service. To get something you have to work very hard like in the bottom of the wave then when you reach the top of the wave everything become easy.
3. Learned Optimism by Martin Seligman
4. Thick face black heart by Chin Nin Chu: You must be shameless and think you are perfect in whatever you did.
5. The 33 strategies of war by Robert Greene: This is the only book you must read.
6. The now habit by Neil Fiore. The best book on how to finish big projects.
7. Positivity by Barbara Fredrickson. This book explains why positivity is very beneficial. It shows the 3-1 ratio. This book could properly summarizes everything about positivity.

How to study books

1. Find good books : Googel search "Oracle" best book. Read reviews in Amazon. Get books in Singapore library. Get free books on internet google "book title" free book.
2. Quick scan : Quick scan each chapter to get a overall idea.
3. Organic read : Only read the parts that interest you. Gain understanding first.
4. Detail reading: Gain understanding.
5. Notes taking: This step is very important for memorization and detail reading. Use hand writing or copy paste from ebook. Write down your questions on the notes to refer back later.
6. Memorize: Read the notes and memorize. There is no understanding without memory.

Misc

1. You have to be a bit bad guy to survive in this world. Watch Chronicals of Riddick movie.
2. Tumo meditation : People can go without food or sleep for months. Can heal any disease.
3 Faith, not fear. Your mom has a lot of faith, i have a lot of fear (and scientific thinking). We are opposites. We need to balance each other. Faith can dispel anxiety and pain.
4. If you dont work, what would you do?
5. If he can do it, why cant you do it, he is just a human.
6. Chinese kung fu masters usually cannot last more than 20 seconds with muay thai guys, because chinese masters though have the technique but dont have the experience of being hit so
hard. Thus to be strong in this world. You need to accept and bear hardship, dont complain or resist, so your brain can rewire and adapt with its high plasticity nature. Once you get use to it,
you would not think the hardship is hardship anymore, and you will be competent and dominate. This is the secret of acceptance.
7. The only that works in new age is mindfulness, the less is bullshit, believe me i have been to the dead roads many years.
8. You may have a lot of shoulder pain. The pain could be due to your neck. Use you finger to press all over your neck, should, and even scalp, especially the area between bone and muscle. When you feel pain, press hard on the painful spot for 1 minute, repeat. When pressured for more than 1 minute the knotted muslce/tendon will relax. Read trigger point therapy. When you shoulder is in pain it could due to your neck or scalp if not your shoulder. I once have shoulder pain but press everywhere on shoulder can find pain, neck also no very painful spot when pressed, and i finally find it on my skull!
9. Vit b is very important. Moving your blood by exercising is very important.
10. Systema continous breathing:Can bring a lot of relaxation.




How to be the best

1. It is like fermenting wine you can rush it. rush it and you weaken the quality of your discipline.
2. Dont give a damn aobut what other people say or think aobut you. Life is too short and too precious. Other people opinion will destroy the quality of the discipline. Be with the discipline alone, just
like being with your girlfriend, you dont want other people to barge in.
3. Put in 10,000 hours to be with the discipline. Take some vacation but always focus. find out what you love to do.



My karate love affair

karate gave me personality framework. When kumite there is fast and fierce gyaku. When kata there is low horse stance to connect to the whole earth below you.
Today in karate there are a few big break through in sparring.

1. i have been training horse, and immeditely my mobility and stability improve a lot. I move more naturally and effortlessly.
2. continuous breathing from system let me be more relax and more effortless.
3. i learn from sensei that oi zuki is one of the best countering technique
4. rear leg anchor lifted at behind will add a lot to mobility. The front feet plant will give stability.
5. Sensei shows the gyaku distance of too short and too far gives me big paradigm understanding.

7 sensei thought me to pull my retracting hand as if to elbow enemy at behind, and yell loudly to wake up the referee, huge paradigm leap.



Detachment and reason owns new age bs

After i read the "if you are falling, dive" book, i immediately feel depression setting in. Sometimes this new age healing stuff is more like chasing a castle in the sky. It is masochistic self induce pain for perverse enjoyment. Self mutilation. i have been doing this stuff for some years with close to no relieve. In fact the more i do it the more pain i felt. Something is wrong iwth this grand new age narrative, it is probably a countereaction of christianiaty.

Immediately i detach myself. And thus 4 discipline tools below always works, we need a spacesuit in this hostile world to get this done, letting outside world into the space suit is equivalent to perverse self multilation:

1. Detachment.
2. Break bigger things into smaller things.
3. Do things one at a time.
4. Reward yourself.

The 4 discipline tools is the yan system, it should be the main system, because physical survival is always the first criteria, it works, and it doesnt take time. The yin system like the new age can be done a bit sometimes for fun or when you control the physical world to the point of boredom, but remember that the new age system for me is sometimes no different than perversed self mutilation. Balance ying and yang. Detachment gives you back control, new age release your control and puts the blame on yourself like neo chritianity.

This book is a nice book, reading it is like a fresh air given by true reasoning provided by high philosphy, compared to the illogicalness and bs of new age books. Most new age are really seriously logically flawed,

Being with Oracle is like being with a woman

Sean Ryan when you work on Oracle, never work on competition too much, it will destroy Oracle fun. Work for the love of Oracle so the joy of Oracle will exist there for you.

You must love something deeply so life you can get the honey life can offer.

There is a fractalness about life. Everything is the same, Oracle, poker, chess, xbox, go, physics, maths, philosophy, painting, poetry, karate. Oracle is everything. So when you do Oracle you are actually playing chess. But Oracle has more advantage then the rest which i explained in why Oracle is so good in knowledge crystal.

Play your Oracle, dont care about who is better, instead just focus on exploring more on Oracle on your own terms, be alone with Oracle like being iwth a woman alone, that time you should take the rare oppotunity to enjoy the woman alone and not think about comparing dicks.
