The discipline system & The thick black system

This system works for me over and over again.
The discipline system:

1. Break big project down into smaller task.

2. Pretend that the big task is easy and a normal day to day activity: Learning to spell in english actually is much much more difficult than learning Oracle.

3. Reward yourself. Schedule your fun time.

The above can be used to tackle anything from big task to difficult people to depression. Alcoholics Anonymous use it "Living day by day".

This is probably the best book to know the system

The Now Habit: A Strategic Program for Overcoming Procrastination and Enjoying Guilt-Free Play (Paperback)

by Neil Fiore

Detached involvement is probably not practical

Yesterday i just remembered that i actually know all this hindu system all along but it never worked for me.

The system sounds very nice but it is probably not practical. Focusing only on the process and ignoring the result is just not achievable for 99% of the people, we biological beings are not wired that way, also look at the private scandals of spiritual gurus available on the google search "spiritual guru scandal".

And the system is really passive, lazy, like asking you to tolerating something painful, look at the state of India.

But I remember a system that works everytime.

Managing the self by Jagdish Parikh

Yesterday I got this book from Singapore library repository book section, it is actually one of the best book i read on the no ego - detachment -hindu system.

The most important lucid explanation is on detached involvement which basically says put attention to your effort and lower your expectation.

The other thing is the thing you are most attached to end up controlling you like the ego. Hence detachment, and no ego is a step on the evolution.

Also stress is not necessary for success. Satisfaction is a better way.

But....
